We collect information you provide directly:

• Renters: name, email address, and phone number (optional) when you submit an inquiry through a property listing. We also record the dates and property you inquired about.
• Property owners: name, email address, and payment information (processed by Stripe) when you create an account and subscribe.

We also collect information automatically:

• Basic usage data (pages visited, links clicked) to improve our service.
• Email engagement data (opens and clicks) through our email delivery provider.

• Renters: We use your contact information to send you property details and follow-up emails about the rental you inquired about. We share your name, email, and phone with the property owner you contacted so they can follow up directly. We may also send you a free Locals Guide for the beach community you're visiting.
• Property owners: We use your information to manage your account, process payments, send you inquiry notifications, and provide support.

If you submit an inquiry as a renter, you will receive a short series of follow-up emails (up to 3 emails over 6 days) about the property you inquired about. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it immediately removes you from all future emails.

We do not sell your email address or send you unrelated marketing.

We share your information only as described here:

• Property owners: When you submit an inquiry, your name, email, and phone are shared with the owner of the property you contacted.
• Service providers: We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Stripe (payments). Each processes only the data necessary to provide their service.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Renter inquiry data is retained for 2 years from the date of submission, after which it is deleted. Property owner account data is retained for the duration of the account plus 1 year after cancellation. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

You may contact us at any time to:

• Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Unsubscribe from all emails (or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send).

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know: You may request a list of the personal information we have collected about you and the categories of third parties with whom it was shared.
• Right to delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
